Not much is known about the Chengdu J-20 Mighty Dragon, an extremely sеcrеt fighter jet. It is designed to compete with modern American jets, although it is difficult to sаy whether it would actually match them in a dogfight. It is likely not intended for such battles as it does not appear to possess the revolving gu𝚗s necessary for these engagements. Instead, it uses missiles for long-distance combat. It has the same sensor system and augmented reality helmet display as the US high-tech fighter jet, and the J-20 also possesses stealth capabilities.
Chengdu J-20 has a maximum speed of 2.25 Mach and an operating range of 4,500 km. Later J-20 models featured supercruise, meaning they could travel at high speeds without the need for afterburners. It is a fifth-generation fighter and there is speculation that it is based on stolen plans for the F-22 Raptor. It costs between $100 million and $120 million to produce, making it one of the most expensive fighter jets.
